 Singapore Heritage Series: Cantonese

The Cantonese formed the 3rd largest dialect group amongst the Chinese community in Singapore. They were known for their hardworking ways, skills in goldsmithing, and later on, popular cultural icons. From Samsui Women to Bruce Lee, the Cantonese are a colourful lot that have contributed to Singapore's multicultural fabric. Experience why the Cantonese have produced women who took a vow to stay single and work in construction sites, ignoring gender barriers to why a young Shunde man decided to create his own brand of martial arts and became an international superstar.
