To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFESS) of Singapore, the society and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) are jointly organising the Human Factors 30th Anniversary Symposium at SUSS. As a Federated Society of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA), HFESS took the opportunity to invite 14 renowned international speakers from IEA to deliver presentations on a wide range of HFE topics that current, relevant, wide-ranging and extremely interesting such as the ever growing popular sit-stand workstations to patient safety, to artificial intelligence and space operations. The goal of this symposium is to provide a platform for local, regional and international HFE practitioners to discuss HFE challenges in technological landscape and the potential research directions to focus on.
As a co-organiser of the event, all SUSS students attend the conference at a heavily discounted fee of $150.

XXI World Congress On Safety And Health At Work
SUSS is proud to be one of the supporting organisations for the XXI World Congress on Safety and Health at Work jointly organised by Ministry of Manpower, Singapore, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Social Security Association (ISSA). The WSH Congress objective are to provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge, practices and experience between participants with the aim of promoting safety and health at work and to build networks and alliances while laying the groundwork for cooperation and strengthening relationships among all concerned. The School of Science and Technology has also organised the 30th Human Factors and Safety Symposium from the 29th and 30th of August to be held in SUSS, as a satellite event to the WSH Congress.
