SUSS Collaborates With MOF And DSTA To Offer Certificate/Minor In Procurement Management

On 28 August 2017, the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) joined hands with the Ministry of Finance (MOF), in collaboration with the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) as a Centre of Excellence for Government Procurement, to boost the training of public officers in Procurement Management.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Professor Tsui Kai Chong, Provost of SUSS; and Mr Chia Ser Huei, Director (Resource Management), MOF. The ceremony was attended by key officials of SUSS, MOF and DSTA, including witnesses Professor Cheong Hee Kiat, President of SUSS; Mr Han Neng Hsiu, Deputy Secretary (Development), MOF; and Mr Tan Peng Yam, Chief Executive of DSTA.

Under this agreement, SUSS and MOF, tapping on the expertise from DSTA, will jointly develop, promote and conduct a certification training that leads to a Certificate/Minor in Procurement Management.
