SUSS would like to express our deep appreciation to Dr Aline Wong for her contributions during her term as Chancellor. As Chancellor, she provided inspiration to the university in its role of providing a quality education for working adults and adult learners. She was actively engaged in many of the university’s new initiatives, including its advancement into becoming an Autonomous University, enabling it to enhance its contribution to the nation’s higher education sector. Dr Wong’s relationship with the university goes back even beyond the time of its establishment in 2005, through her involvement in its predecessor, the Open University Development Programme. The university is fortunate that from 2005 till prior to her becoming SUSS Chancellor, she had served continuously as its Academic Advisor, giving valuable guidance and advice on its various formative academic processes and directions.
