Applied Research Project in Gerontology

Applied Research Project in Gerontology (GER688)

Synopsis

GER688 Applied Research Project in Gerontology offers each student the opportunity to develop a project in his/her area of interest. The student will be required to do a literature search, define the topic and write a proposal. As part of the process, he/she would be encouraged to talk to organisation leaders in the eldercare industry to identify some issues on the ground. The project is expected to be of sufficient depth and should reflect the student’s ability to apply knowledge and skills, acquired in the programme prior to embarking in this project, to the real world. The findings and implications of the project would be relevant to industry partners. The report length is 10,000 words excluding references. Students are allowed two semesters to complete and submit the final project report.
