Core Learning is a member of the Humanities across Borders: Asia and Africa (HaB) network since 2021. HaB is a new education and research initiative of the International Institute of Asian Studies (IIAS), Leiden, The Netherlands and principally funded by The Andrew W. Mellon New York focused on the humanistic approach to teaching and learning.
As a member, Core Learning will strengthen community-centred connections and providing opportunities for educators and researchers to exchange, reflect, and build new ways of teaching and learning applied humanities and social sciences. It embraces a humanistic approach towards social issues – one based on reciprocal exchanges that is inclusive and diverse, based on the values of autonomy, responsibility and care for the other.
