The platform will curate Service-Learning community resources and initiatives for public access. First announced during the 7th Asia-Pacific Regional Conference on Service-Learning (APRCSL), the National Service-Learning Clearinghouse is the first of its kind in Singapore.
"SUSS has long sought to serve as a community resource. After close to 20 years of service-learning in Singapore, the community recognises that there has been a lot of good work done in the area of service-learning by educators, community of practitioners, and agencies in Singapore. Through the National Service-Learning Clearinghouse, Singapore’s service-learning community will have a digital repository to present the history, trajectory and current innovations and good practices to create a composite picture of the service-learning ecosystem. By understanding our own past, we can better understand our present and future – knowledge that is critical for professional development and advancement in service-learning. We also see the platform as relevant for the sharing of programmes, as well as other professional practices of service-learning for all in the ecosystem."
