Synopsis

BSE225 An Introduction to Land- and Water-Based Adventure Education introduces the theories, constructs and practices of adventure education. Topics include outcomes of adventure education, characteristics of adventure, components of adventure education programme, risk management, and experiential instruction. The emphasis is on students applying skills and knowledge to develop land-based and water-based activities for adventure education purposes, and discern the quality of adventure education programmes.
