Synopsis

A sustainability report can help organisations measure and communicate their economic, environmental and social impacts caused by its everyday activities. Sustainability reporting also allows organisations to consider their risks and opportunities related to sustainability issues, and this enables organisations to make informed decisions to mitigate risk and explore opportunities for growth. Due to the benefits of sustainability reporting and the calls by investors for organisations to be more transparent about how they manage sustainability risks and opportunities, there is an increasing number of mandatory sustainability reporting requirements by stock exchanges around the world. This course will provide an introduction to sustainability reporting and practical guidance on the sustainability reporting process and practices. Students will gain understanding of the GRI, the international reporting standard and how to produce a well-structured and succinct final report that delivers value to its stakeholders. This course is a collaborative effort with Deloitte & Touche Enterprise Risk Service Pte Ltd.
