Synopsis

This course will provide counselling students with an overview of the research process. This involves the formulation of research questions, literature review, selection and application of appropriate methodologies and research designs, data analysis and the writing of research reports. In particular, students will learn various sampling techniques and be introduced to quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods relevant to counselling research.

E-Learning: BLENDED - Learning is done MAINLY online using interactive study materials in Canvas. Students receive guidance and support from online instructors via discussion forums and emails. This is supplemented with SOME face-to-face sessions. If the course has an exam component, this will be administered on-campus.
