This course is designed to help candidates provide creative arts experiences for young children from 2 to 8 years old. Candidates will be introduced to a variety of age appropriate activities and teaching approaches that support young children’s creativity and imagination. Through first-hand experiences, candidates will be exposed to new ways of seeing and perceiving the world and gain an appreciation of the sensory-emotional values of visual and performing arts, culture and nature. In exploring the arts through a multicultural context, they will be empowered to create interesting and effective environments to foster the growth of creative potential in every child.
