Early Childhood Education Applied Project (ECE499)

Synopsis

ECE499 Early Childhood Education Applied Project enables senior undergraduate students toconduct a classroom-based research project to inform pedagogical practice and report their findingsand recommendations. The course requires students to draw on knowledge from variouscurriculum-related courses in the programme as well as ECE306 Early Childhood ResearchMethods and ECE316 Practitioner Enquiry and Learning. Students have to critically reflect on theirteaching practice and work closely with their supervisors to craft out a suitable classroom-basedproject topic and carry out the project individually during ECE490 Teaching Practice when theyare attached to a child care or kindergarten.
