This course aims to equip course participants with basic understanding of contemporary learning theories and common ICT tools in early childhood education. It focuses on developing their basic skills in integrating ICT into teaching and learning of Chinese for young children. Through case studies in early childhood context, group discussions, teachers’ reflection, hands-on operations and design of an e-learning unit, it aims to empower the teachers to integrate ICT into their daily teaching practices and to continually develop their Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge for early childhood education.

E-Learning: BLENDED - Learning is done MAINLY online using interactive study materials in Canvas. Students receive guidance and support from online instructors via discussion forums and emails. This is supplemented with SOME face-to-face sessions. If the course has an exam component, this will be administered on-campus.
