Synopsis

Independent study and research is important in developing advanced knowledge in any discipline. It is essential for graduates of the MHCM Programme to acquire a set of research and/or design skills and to be able to apply these skills in the employment setting. These skills include problem identification, review of relevant literature, research planning, collection and analysis of relevant data, and making logical inferences.HCM599 Human Capital Management Project will enable students to conduct an in-depth exploration on topics approved in consultation with their supervisors. Each student will complete an applied research/consultancy project. The main requirement of the Project is a formal report not exceeding 10,000 words. They will be assigned advisors (specialist practitioners or faculty member) who will guide them along in formulating their research topics, data collection, data analysis and report writing. The course will be spread over two semesters.
