Transport Management and Technology (LOG206)

Synopsis

Transport moves goods and services in the geo-spatial dimension as they make their way from point of origin to point of consumption. This course provides the students with an understanding of the concepts and applications for managing freight transport operations (especially via land, air, sea and intermodal modes) in the era of industry transformation and supply chain disruption. Effective transport management ensures the smooth flow of goods across complex global supply chains. Efficient transport operations minimise delivery costs so that goods are affordable in multiple markets. Students will gain the skillsets needed to keep pace with technological changes and evolving job demands.
