Introduction to Malay Linguistics (MLL101)

Synopsis

This course aims to imbue students with knowledge of general linguistics and its importance as a field of study. This ideal forms the core purpose of this course. Specifically, this course aims to impart knowledge of linguistics to students. Although this course is taught at the introductory level, this course also aims to enthuse and encourage students to take up Malay linguistics at higher levels and enable them to apply this knowledge in their respective work.

E-Learning: BLENDED - Learning is done MAINLY online using interactive study materials in Canvas. Students receive guidance and support from online instructors via discussion forums and emails. This is supplemented with SOME face-to-face sessions. If the course has an exam component, this will be administered on-campus.
