Facilitative Leadership (OST162)


OST162 Facilitative Leadership provides participants with tools to harness team creativity to generate original ideas from team members in order to arrive at a consensus. This is achieved through a combination of classroom instruction and experiential activities, during which students will learn about the attributes of a facilitative leader and acquire and practice facilitation skills such as active listening, questioning techniques, and convergent and divergent facilitation skills. The experiential teaching and learning approach is adopted throughout the course via role play and experimentation, active feedback, and reflective thinking.

E-Learning: BLENDED - Learning is done MAINLY online using interactive study materials in Canvas. Students receive guidance and support from online instructors via discussion forums and emails. This is supplemented with SOME face-to-face sessions. If the course has an exam component, this will be administered on-campus.
