Psycho-Educational Assessment: Principles and Practices (PSY257)

Synopsis

Psycho-educational assessment potentially serves an important function in facilitating the identification and resolution of issues relevant to educational placement and general well-being. This course will provide a conceptual framework for understanding and using the results of procedures for assessing the following key domains of functioning: intellectual ability, academic achievement, behaviour, personality. Selected test instruments will be introduced for each domain, and ethical and culturally sensitive assessment practices will be highlighted.
