Synopsis
This course requires students to apply their sociological knowledge to carry out an independent research project on a topic of their choice. Students have to decide on a topic, frame a research question, review the relevant literature, and prepare a research proposal. In addition, students are required to collect data, conduct appropriate analysis and write up a research paper. To allow students to have more time for data collection and analysis, this course spans over two academic semesters.
