TLL107 explores the rich history of folk entertainment in Tamil Nadu. Folk Arts comprise Iyal (literature), Isai (music) and Nadagam (drama), which had their roots in rural folk theatre such as Theru Koothu (Street Play). Various dance forms include Bommalattam, Silambu Attam, Kollattam, Karagattam, Kavadi Aattam, Kummi, Oyilattam, and Mayil Attam. Besides, the Tamils’ rural arts and crafts include pottery, sculpture, weaving, paintings, traditional medicine, etc. By and large, they were practised as cottage industries to earn their living.
