Indian Contacts with South East Asia (TLL204)

Synopsis

Several Southeast Asian nations were once known as Indianized Kingdom: the Malay Archipelago, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia. This course traces the history of Indian’s influx and the influence of Hinduism and Buddhism to the region. It also looks at Indian customs and culture that are still practiced in the region; and traces the Indian immigration to Malaya and Singapore.
