Minor Literature (TLL206)

Synopsis

TLL206 focuses on minor literature in which even ordinary people became the main cast. However it is common to find most minor literatures as devotional ones. There are ninety-two types of minor literature; the course delves extensively into several forms, including Pillai Tamil, Kuravanji, Tamil Vidhu Thoothu, Pallu and Paranai, and minor literature from Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore, while providing a brief account of others.
