Synopsis

Social media is much more than posting of content. It is a strategic marketing tool with a “viral” intent to reach out to target audience. The conversation nature of a public and one-on-one medium, social media has the potential to shape public conversations and perceptions, build brand awareness and loyalty, attract readers, followers, partners and customers - even create brand evangelists.

The course “Fundamentals of Advertising and Social Media Design” introduces participants to the key social media platforms and how to make use of them for growing and engaging an audience. Students will learn how to build, manage and sustain an active social media community, as well as how to extract and report on data from the platforms’ native analytics tools to derive deeper audience and campaign insights.

1 Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy: Singaporeans aged 40 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fees.
