Synopsis

Social media is much more than posting of content. It is a strategic marketing tool with a “viral” intent to reach out to target audience. The conversation nature of a public and one-on-one medium, social media has the potential to shape public conversations and perceptions, build brand awareness and loyalty, attract readers, followers, partners and customers - even create brand evangelists.

The course “Fundamentals of Advertising and Social Media Design” introduces participants to the key social media platforms and how to make use of them for growing and engaging an audience. Students will learn how to build, manage and sustain an active social media community, as well as how to extract and report on data from the platforms’ native analytics tools to derive deeper audience and campaign insights.

Trainer's Profile

Daniela La Marca is a pioneer of the digital media and marketing industry in Singapore. As the first “pure” e-publisher in Asia Pacific, her company MediaBUZZ launched Asian eMarketing, an e-Magazine dedicated to empowering digital marketers in the ever-changing business landscape, around 15 years ago. She is an experienced writer and lecturer, who worked in sales & marketing as well as event management for the Deutsche Post and Penton Media in Germany, before coming to Singapore. Last, she worked as Media Analyst for BMW in Munich and is since then Editor-in Chief of Asian eMarketing and Publisher of Global Health Press.

Daniela has a Master of Arts Degree in Philology and Political Sciences, a Postgraduate Degree in Foreign Trade, as well as one in English Speaking Cultures from universities in Germany.
