This certificate programme aims to equip practitioners implementing the KidSTART programme with multi-domain competencies across child development, health and social service domains for early childhood intervention in relation to children from low-income families.
This certificate comprises of modules selected from the Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (with Minor) programmes.
CCFI is specifically designed for staff employed under the KidSTART programme, and early childhood/ social sector practitioners working with children and families from low-income backgrounds.
The minimum eligibility requirements for programme applicants would be:
- Poly Diploma or equivalent, and/or;
- A minimum of 3 years work experience in the early childhood and/or social services sector.
Certificate in Child and Family Intervention
Issued to those who have successfully completed all seven modules. Credit Recognition for these modules may be applied if the student decides to further pursue a SUSS undergraduate degree e.g Bachelor of Early Childhood Education with Minor or Bachelor of Social Work.
(Subject to approval in accordance with SUSS academic policy.)
Certificate of Completion
Issued to CET student who complete and fulfill the passing requirement of each module.
Certificate of Attendance
Issued to CET student who complete but did not fulfill the passing requirement of each module.
