For Small-business Owners and More

You've built a business you genuinely care for, and want to prepare it for the growth it deserves. This programme is for business owners and senior executives whose companies meet the following criteria:

  • It's a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME)
  • It's been in business for at least 3 years
  • It's total annual revenue is at least S$5 million

Every business faces unique challenges whose solutions may not be found in books. Our programme uniquely delivers classes, discussions, assignments and direct mentorship that emphasises practice over theory.

About The Programme

Enterprise SingaporeThe Enterprise Leadership for Transformation (ELT) programme, by SUSS, in partnership with Enterprise Singapore, supports business leaders of promising small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to develop business growth capabilities.

ELT helps leaders develop Strategic Growth Plans that will take their enterprises to the next level. Eligible enterprises can qualify for up to 90% funding of programme fees.

What Does The Programme Deliver?

Spanning at least 10 months and at least 54 contact hours of multi-faceted training, the programme's curriculum is built around the delivery of practical skills that you can implement immediately. The topics delivered are strongly integrated with the actual building of your Strategic Growth Plan, and planned around real-world topics that are vital to your growth journey. This is followed by a 6-month advisory that participants can leverage beyond the programme, to help implement the Strategic Growth Plan.

Stage 0: Pre-Selection and Networking EventMar 2024
Stage 1: Growth Aspiration
This foundational stage prepares you for growth, helping to sharpen understanding of your business models, propositions and strengths. It will also cover leadership, your appetite for growth and a structured approach to building your Strategic Growth Plan.
Mar - Apr 2024
Stage 2: Building Capability for Growth
The next vital stage reviews the markets and customers you serve, and how to leverage data analytics to enrich your business. There will also be an extensive focus on key business functions like finance and human resources, with the aim to professionalise them. The stage will conclude with a thorough review of your business operations and how to optimise them for greater long-term sustainability.

Stage 3: Innovation and Digitalisation
This stage is key to future-proofing your Strategic Growth Plan, by equipping you with an understanding of how digitalisation and its related technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, the Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Data Analytics can enable your business in an impactful way.

Stage 4: New Markets
Identifying new markets is instrumental to your business’ uninterrupted growth, and this stage will equip you with the necessary skills in Cultural Intelligence and Negotiation. Establish a firm grasp of the methods you can adopt to penetrate overseas markets, as well as successfully market your products and services through digital media like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn; and digital solutions like Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

Stage 5: Strategic Review and Growth Plan
This intensive and rewarding stage will help you pull together the valuable earnings from across the topics to build your Strategic Growth Plan. Supported by the multi-disciplinary expertise of our experienced mentors, you will quickly identify and start to implement key priorities that will set your business up for continuous growth.

Overseas Immersion

As a participant, you'll join an overseas immersion trip* that's been exclusively curated to deliver first-hand insights on how to regionalise your business. Leveraging SUSS' network of Singaporean and regional partners, we'll connect you to the people you need to know in order for your business to succeed. At the end of the overseas immersion trip, you'll have:

  • Mastered the skills to identify regional opportunities for your business
  • Gained the ability to negotiate the legal and cultural landscape of your target region
  • Developed fruitful collaborations with other business owners

Post-Programme Coaching

The growth journey isn't easy. That's why our programme extends coaching for up to six months after the end of the programme. Here’s what that means:

  • You'll be able to access to coaching from mentors and industry practitioners in helping you implementing your strategic growth plan.
  • You'll also gain access to student resources across the schools of the Singapore University of Social Sciences to help realise the different aspects of your plan.

1 Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy: Singaporeans aged 40 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the programme fee.
2 Enhanced Training Support for SMEs: SME-sponsored employees (Singaporean Citizens and PRs) aged 21 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the programme fee.

Application Procedure

Applications are open for SUSS' ELT programme. The sign-up process includes:

  1. SIGN UP: Complete the ELT Application Form.
  2. INTERVIEW: We'll invite you for a short interview to discover and understand your unique needs. If you're shortlisted, we'll pair you with a mentor.
  3. FUNDING: Once you are shortlisted, you can make payment. We'll help you secure any funding to offset the programme's full fees.
  4. INDUCTION: You'll be invited to a networking event where you will be officially inducted into the programme, as well as kickstart your network.
  5. STRATEGIC GROWTH PLAN: Join the programme and start building a plan that will transform the way you manage your business.
  6. ELT GROWTH NETWORK: After completing the programme, you become part of the exclusive ELT Growth Network, and may be invited to mentor new programme participants.


Participants are required to work towards setting and designing their Strategic Growth Plan for assessment. Participants are deemed to have successfully completed the programme after the presentation of the Strategic Growth Plan to a panel of mentors, peers and industry practitioners.


Upon completion of the programme, and attainment of the course requirements, participants will be awarded with a Executive Certificate in Enterprise Leadership for Transformation from SUSS.
