You can find important information on SUSS's rules, regulations, policies and procedures in the Student Handbook, which is available in the Student Portal. Do take some time to read the Handbook after you receive the user ID and password to access the Student Portal.

All students will be given an account to access the SUSS Student Portal. The Student Portal contains useful information such as your timetable, examination results and course registration information. Please log in regularly for information updates and announcements.

All students will be given an email account, MyMail, to correspond with SUSS. Only emails sent via this account will be attended to.

Opening hours on Orientation Day: 9.00am to 4.00pm
Venue: Materials Collection Centre located at SUSS, Block C, Level 2, Room C.2.02.

Documents required: NRIC/Driving License/Passport for verification during the collection of the course materials. 

If you are authorising a representative to collect your course materials, your representative will have to present an authorisation letter from you together with his/her ID for verification. You can download the authorisation form here.

Please try to collect your course materials early so as to avoid the expected long queue after the Orientation ends.

Collection of course materials on alternative dates: 20 December 2019 to 1 February 2020. 

Alternatively, you can apply for courier service (there is a charge involved) for the delivery of your course materials. More information on our operating hours and application of courier service will be posted on the Student Portal under the section, "Important Announcements" in the week of 16 December 2019.

Kindly note that some courses at SUSS have adopted the use of eTextbooks. If your course is using the eTextbook, no physical textbook will be issued.

Please refer to your Content Checklist for information on whether the course(s) you are enrolled in is/are using eTextbook(s).

Both Full-time and Part-time students can view both their Normal and Resit Course Timetable via the Student Portal on 13 January 2020, Monday, after 5.00pm.

For Part-time Courses, most sessions will commence from 20 January 2020.

For Full-time Courses, most sessions will commence from 20 January 2020.

All updates on timetables will be communicated to students via the Student Portal. You are advised to log in to the portal regularly and before each class to check for the latest information.

All sessions groupings are allocated by the system in a random order. We regret that any request to change will not be accepted. Failure to stay in the allocated group will result in difficulty in submitting your assignments.

There will be either online pre-class, pre-course or both pre-class and pre-course quizzes scheduled for some courses as part of the course requirements. Please note that these quizzes are graded and that some of the quizzes will be scheduled in Week 0 with reference to the Academic Calendar. You are advised to complete the quiz by the stipulated deadline. Please access Canvas for more details before the semester commences.

Students will be required to carry their Student ID or any valid photo ID at all times when attending classes at SUSS. Students may be asked to produce evidence to verify their student identity by either the instructors or SUSS staff. This is required for admittance to class and class attendance marking.

Canvas Learning Management System

  • This is the learning management system (LMS) which you will use throughout your learning journey with us.
  • Log in to access all your course-related materials and announcements, participate in online discussions and quizzes, submit written assignments, download marked assignments and retrieve your assessments scores..
  • You can also attend live virtual classes and replay your lecture recordings on the LMS.

  • This is your personal bookstore, where you can access, view and download the digital resources such as eTextbooks and iStudyGuides associated with the courses you are enrolled in each semester.
  • You can also order and pay for a copy of these resources to be printed and delivered to your doorstep. Log in to iBookstore.suss.edu.sg to find out more.

SUSS Reader

  • This is an e-Reader app developed for SUSS students to read iStudyGuides (iSGs) and other ePub books with convenience and ease.
  • Gain access to all iSG content on-the-go, including bite-sized study units, videos, chunked lesson recordings, audio clips and formative assessments.
  • In addition, enjoy access to hundreds of free eBooks from selected feeds integrated in-app.

SUSS Backpack

  • This mobile app offers essential learning services at your fingertips, including quick access to your class timetable, iStudyGuides, eTextbook, recorded lectures, narrated presentation materials and past year exam papers
  • Integrated with the Canvas LMS, you can also check for course announcements and assignment due dates.
  • Use this app to track your Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) scores, record your in-class attendance, contact support staff for technical enquiries, receive important notifications from SUSS instantaneously on your mobile and much more.

SUSS Library partners with SIM (Tay Eng Soon) Library at Block A, Level 2 to provide our full-time and part-time degree or diploma programme students with access to physical library materials, book and equipment loans, study spaces and other on-site services and facilities.
