What have a driving instructor, a Burmese student, a housewife, and a special education teacher got to do with one another?
The answer is, they are four out of the 530 graduands being awarded their diplomas by Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) and SIM University (UniSIM), in a joint graduation ceremony to be held on 30 November 2007. Professor Chong Chi Tat, Member of the UniSIM Board of Trustees, will be the Guest-of-Honour.
SIM was the first in Singapore to start offering diploma programmes for executive upgrading in 1973. Today, it offers both full- and part-time diploma programmes, which give students and working executives a firm foundation to progress to further degree/ post-graduate courses. SIM’s most popular diploma programme, Diploma in Management Studies (DMS), saw close to 50% of its full-time students continuing their education at SIM, by progressing on to degree programmes.
Over the years, our full-time diploma programmes have also attracted international students from across Asia, some of whom have achieved good academic results and recipients of our SIM awards for achieving academic excellence.
The qualifications to be awarded at the ceremony range from diploma, graduate diplomas and specialist diplomas from ten part-time and full-time programmes for studies in business administration, human resource management, financial management, management studies, pre-school education and Chinese-English translation.
You are cordially invited to attend the ceremony on 30 November 2007 at 3.00pm at SIM Headquarters, Clementi Road, Grand Hall (Level 4).
