The inaugural 2011 UniSIM Contemporary China Public Lecture: Media - China took place on 15 October 2011 (Saturday) at Singapore Press Holding’s News Centre. Two professors from the Greater China region were invited to address the topic of Media China. Prof. Yin Hong from Beijing Tsinghua University touched on the topic of Media in China: New Media and its Impact, while Prof. Leonard Chu from Taipei Chengchi University focused on China in Media: Does Soft Power Bring Hard Results? The event was co-organized by the School of Arts and Social Sciences, UniSIM, Lianhe Zaobao, and Business China, and was sponsored by the Lee Foundation.
