On 10 January 2015, 16 Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) officers received their certificates for successfully completing the Continuing Education and Training in Aerospace Systems (CETAS) programme at SIM University (UniSIM). During this one-year customised intensive programme, they earned 90 out of 170 credit units of courses which are counted towards the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Aerospace System programme. It was no small feat for the officers as they took both day and night classes. The CETAS programme was the result of a Letter of Agreement signed between the RSAF and UniSIM in 2013 to equip RSAF officers with the necessary skills in their field of work and an opportunity for them to upgrade themselves. It was a heart-warming and meaningful ceremony for this pioneer batch of officers as their families showed their support by turning up in full force with congratulatory balloons on hand to celebrate their achievement.
