On 12 July 2014, Ms Melanie Lee, an associate from the School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS) and best-selling author, took 60 students and alumni on a journey into the world of imagination. In the unique workshop designed to nurture those interested in creative writing, the ever-innovative Ms Lee not only provided conceptual frameworks to guide participants, but also background music to inspire them. Participants were given the chance to explore and make new discoveries about themselves and the world around them through writing.Ms Lee is the author of "Imaginary Friends: 26 Fables for the Kid in Us", a collection of satirical short stories published by Malaysia Publishing House. It was first released as an ebook in 2013 and quickly became a Kobo top five best-seller.
