SIM University Degree Accredited By Public Sector Panels Of Consultants

The Bachelor of Building and Project Management degree offered by SIM University (UniSIM) via the School of Science and Technology has been accredited by the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV) – a professional body for land surveyors, quantity surveyors, valuers and general practice surveyors. This accreditation signifies that the degree meets the relevant education standard to satisfy the admission requirement to be a member of the SISV.

As part of the concerted effort to enhance the quality of the profession in the built environment sector, firms wanting to provide consultancy services for public sector building and construction projects must meet the listing requirements of the Public Sector Panels of Consultants (PSPC), which is administered by the Building and Construction Authority. The Bachelor of Building and Project Management degree has also been recognised by PSPC for the Quantity Surveying discipline.

According to Associate Professor Tan Teng Hooi, Head of the Building and Project Management programme, this double endorsement has levelled the playing field for the programme graduates as it has given them national recognition and unrestraint mobility in the built environment industry.
