On 23 June 2014, the School of Science and Technology (SST) at SIM University (UniSIM) signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Singapore Technologies Kinetics Ltd (ST Kinetics), demonstrating its strategic approach to partner to succeed with industry. In a symbolic ceremony – attended by SST's School Advisory Panel (SAP) – UniSIM and ST Kinetics cemented the partnership that was built up through various industry projects over the past six years. The MoC signifies the collaboration on translational research and development in thermal spray coating technologies and related materials for industrial applications. It encompasses the S$2.7 million project on gas engine fan turbine case cold spray repair technology, which is funded under the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore's Aviation Innovation Scheme.Dr Richard Kwok, Chief Technology Officer of ST Kinetics, commented: "It has always been ST Kinetics' intent to build long lasting working relationships with our strategic partners so that, collectively, we can achieve more. I believe that our great working relationship with UniSIM has and will continue to generate results beneficial to both organisations and the industries we are engaged with."
