On 19 January 2016, SIM University (UniSIM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Prime Minister's Office Public Service Division (PSD) and Civil Service College (CSC) to jointly develop, promote and conduct an undergraduate programme in the area of public sector service management leading to the award of a UniSIM Minor in Public Sector Service Management. This MOU is part of UniSIM's ongoing SkillsFuture initiative to make university-level education accessible to working adults to upgrade themselves in work-related competencies, in this case, the public sector. The ceremony was attended by PSD and CSC officials, as well as Professor Cheong Hee Kiat, President of UniSIM; and staff of UniSIM. The signatories of the MOU were Professor Tsui Kai Chong, Provost of UniSIM; and Ms Ong Toon Hui, Dean and Chief Executive Officer of CSC, and Deputy Secretary (Development) of PSD.
