Approximately 700 freshmen attended the Student Orientation on 9 July 2016 with the Scrabble game as its theme to highlight the engagement between two or more parties leveraging the contribution of one another and to challenge oneself to achieve the best results through one’s own prowess. On arrival, the students were encouraged to download our Orientation mobile application to view the day's programme, receive live updates, redeem free gifts and provide feedback with ease. They were then welcomed with addresses and programme briefings by their respective Deans and Heads of Programmes. They also learnt about the various services including our learning management system Canvas, which will be available to them during their learning journey with UniSIM. The students were also encouraged to indicate their hobbies and interests at a board at the Student Interest booth so that we could better identify and organise exciting events for them. A delightful buffet lunch and trendy refreshments including Thai milk tea were made available to the students as they mingled with our faculty, administrative colleagues, student ambassadors and fellow course-mates.
