With the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) on 23 February 2012, seven companies have come aboard as Corporate Affiliates in the Master of Science in Urban Transport Management (UTM) programme offered by UniSIM’s School of Business. These companies are Accenture, AECOM, Motorola Solutions, NCS, ST Electronics Large-Scale Systems Group, ST Electronics Info-Comm Systems and ST Kinetics.
Under the agreement, the Corporate Affiliates will provide industrial attachment placements for UTM students to enable them to understand the operations of the organisations and identify a topic for their capstone projects. The Corporate Affiliates will assign students to a senior staff who will provide the learning environment for and supervise the progress of the students.
Staff of the Corporate Affiliates will have various opportunities, including networking activities at the Land Transport Authority, to interact with students from the UTM programme. They will also have the chance to establish a dialogue with faculty advisors from the School of Business, if a capstone project is to be further developed.
