On 4 October 2011, UniSIM signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Counselling Centre to explore and provide for the continuing education needs of SAF counsellors, para-counsellors and other personnel through courses available in UniSIM's School of Human Development and Social Services.
The parties aim to establish activities that will strengthen the counselling theory or other relevant courses, and capabilities of the respective communities through conferences, seminars, research publications, consultancies, clinical supervision and formal dialogue sessions. UniSIM and the SAF Counselling Centre will also explore potential collaboration on projects that will facilitate the development of knowledge and exchange of ideas between staff and students from both entities.
