On 2 September 2016, SIM University (UniSIM) and OPRA-Asia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr Paul Englert, Managing Director of OPRA-Asia, and the Dean of School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS), Associate Professor Genice Ngg, as signatories. Under the MoU, psychology students who have completed the module PSY453 Psychometrics and Psychological Testing will be eligible to register, at a highly subsidised fee, for a psychometric test user training offered by OPRA. This training leads to the internationally recognised European Federation of Psychological Societies (EFPA) test user certificate of competence in occupational testing, issued by the British Psychological Society–Register of Qualified Test Users. The signing ceremony, which was attended by UniSIM psychology students, associates, and faculty was followed by a talk by Dr Englert on the topic of "The role of accreditation in the establishment of the I/O profession in Singapore: The need to maintain professionalism while meeting exponential demand".
