On 14 July 2012, SIM University (UniSIM) and the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the UniSIM Psychology Programme, with SPS President Colonel (Dr) Bernard Lim and Dean of UniSIM's School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS) Associate Professor Genice Ngg as signatories.SPS - the professional body for psychologists in Singapore - aims to promote the advancement of psychology as a science and as a profession in the country. The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Cheong Hee Kiat, President of UniSIM; Professor Tsui Kai Chong, Provost of UniSIM; members of the SPS Council; the UniSIM psychology team; psychology students; and SASS faculty. Under the MOU, UniSIM psychology students will be able to join SPS as student members at a subsidised fee.
