Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) offers a number of sponsorships in recognition of excellent academic achievements, leadership qualities, special talents and contributions.

Committed to the promotion of lifelong learning, Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) offers a variety of sponsorships to new as well as existing students pursuing their studies in the University.

The SUSS-NTUC Sponsorship scheme aims to provide suitable candidates with the opportunity to enrol in undergraduate programmes with the University and develop skills for life.

Who is Eligible?

The sponsorship is open to all NTUC General Branch, Ordinary Branch members and staff. You should be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident with impressive academic and co-curricular activities records, strong language skills, and demonstrable leadership qualities. You must also not already be a degree holder.

New students must meet the admission requirements for the programme of study being applied for at the University. They must separately seek admission to the programme, and must be accepted for admission before being considered for the sponsorship.

Tenure of Sponsorship

The sponsorship is awarded for the period required to complete the full programme of study.

Value of Sponsorship

The value of the sponsorship is as follows:

  • Singapore Citizens who are eligible for government subsidy - The award will cover up to 80% of the total course fee (inclusive of government subsidy)
  • Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above who are eligible for government subsidy - The award will cover up to 92% of the total course fee (inclusive of government subsidy and Skillsfuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy). More information on SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy
  • Singapore Permanent Residents who are eligible for government subsidy - The award will cover up to 60% of the total course fee (inclusive of government subsidy)
  • Students who are not eligible for government subsidy - The award will cover up to 50% of the total course fee.

New students must meet the admission requirements for the programme of study applied for at the University. They must separately seek admission to the programme and must be accepted for admission before being considered for the sponsorship.

The SUSS-Singapore Federation of Chinese Clans Association (SFCCA) Sponsorship scheme hopes to encourage lifelong learning and to nurture a bilingual and bi-cultural workforce. Awarded to non-degree holders, this sponsorship will offer the opportunity for them to strengthen their command of the Chinese language as well as gain a holistic understanding of the Chinese culture.

Who is Eligible?

Application for the SUSS-SFCCA Sponsorship is open to all SFCCA members and staff. The applicant must have good academic and co-curricular activities records, strong language skills and demonstrable leadership qualities. The applicant must also not already be a degree holder.

New students must meet the admission requirements for the programme of study applied for at the University. They must separately seek admission to the programme and must be accepted for admission before being considered for the sponsorship.

The SUSS-SFCCA Sponsorship is applicable to the following programmes:

 

Tenure of Sponsorship

The sponsorship is awarded for the period required to complete the full programme of study. The sponsorship is only awarded for undergraduate programmes.

Value of Sponsorship

The value of the sponsorship is as follows: 

  • Singapore Citizens who are eligible for government subsidy - The award will cover up to 80% of the total course fee (inclusive of government subsidy)

The sponsorship is open to grassroots leaders with People's Association (PA) and/or its associated organisations as well as staff of PA. You should be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident with impressive academic and co-curricular activities records, strong language skills, and demonstrable leadership qualities. You must also not already be a degree holder. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions on other eligibility criteria.

New students must meet the admission requirements for the programme of study being applied for at SUSS. They must separately seek admission to the programme, and must be accepted for admission before being considered for the sponsorship.

This sponsorship provides opportunity for high potential national players to pursue higher education with Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). 

Who is Eligible?

The sponsorship is open to eligible national players nominated by the Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA). Nominated national players must be Singapore citizens who fulfill the selection criteria set by the University and STTA. They must meet the admission requirements for the applied course of study, and must not already be degree holders from a University.

Tenure of Sponsorship

The sponsorship is awarded for the period required to complete the full programme of study. There is no bond attached to the sponsorship.

Value of Sponsorship

The sponsorship for an undergraduate programme comprises a sponsored amount of up to 80% of the total tuition fee (inclusive of government subsidy) and a study grant of up to 20% of the total tuition fee.
