A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between ST Aerospace and SIM University was signed on 21 September 2011 in a clear sign of the strengthening relationship between the 2 organisations. The duration of the MOU, an extension of an existing collaboration, was proposed to be effective for 10 years by ST Aerospace as an apparent endorsement of our aerospace programmes, a gesture which Prof Cheong Hee Kiat described as "gratifying".
Under the MOU, both organisations will collaborate in the areas of research and training in which both parties will undertake associate training activities at each other's facilities. In addition, ST Aerospace will also provide support in the form of scholarships and training facilities as well as play a prominent advisory role in strategising the long term plan of our aerospace programmes.
* On 17 March 2017, SIM University (UniSIM) was renamed Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) as part of its re-structuring to become a Singapore autonomous university.
