Overview

This Human Resource Management (HRM) degree is the only one offered by an autonomous university in Singapore. Designed and developed by practitioners and academics in consultation with the industry, the Bachelor of Human Resource Management (BHRM) programme combines essential topics in social science, business and human resource functions. The programme aims to produce competent professionals grounded in business and with specific HR domain knowledge.

The human resource (HR) profession has been identified by the government as a key strategic pillar for driving and building a future-ready workforce in Singapore. HR is seeing a shift in roles and responsibilities as it becomes even more strategic to businesses. Graduates can look forward to a rewarding career as a human resource generalist or specialist.

You may pursue Human Resource Management in combination with a Minor.

Admission Requirements

Interviews will be conducted for some shortlisted applicants to assess their suitability in terms of their motivation and ability to complete the programme.

Programme Structure

Bachelor of Human Resource Management with Minor (Offered from January 2022 intake)

Students are required to complete a total of 130 cu to graduate with a basic degree, inclusive of 10 cu of university core courses.

The breakdown of the cu to be completed is:

  • 65 cu of Major courses
  • 40 cu of Minor courses
  • 10 cu of SUSS Core Courses
  • 15 cu of General Electives

This programme is suitable for human resource professionals who are keen to acquire knowledge and competencies in key human resource functions, so as to understand, implement and develop meaningful human resource policies and practices that promote employee and organisational effectiveness in the modern workplace.
