Educational Media and Resources

The Educational Media and Resources (EMR) department works closely with Faculty and Industry Professionals to develop courses which will provide the best learning experience for our students, enabling them to learn anytime, anywhere and on any device.

EMR supports SUSS's mission through these key services:

Interactive Media & AV Production

  • Works with Faculty and Industry Professionals to produce instructional videos and other media assets that enhance students' learning
  • Produces corporate-level videos for SUSS
  • Supports live recordings and streaming of hybrid events

 

Course Development

  • Works with course developers to ensure compliance with guidelines on course development and use of copyrighted material
  • Tracks development processes to ensure timely completion of course materials for presentation and payments for course development work
  • Produces interactive StudyGuides (iSGs)

 

eTextbook Management

  • Works with Publishers and third-party vendors to ensure availability of eTextbooks for students
  • Works with third-party vendor to enable students to purchase print copies of adopted eTextbooks at discounted price

 

Systems & Technology Development

  • Works with internal staff to build and maintain learning applications that will support course development and other strategic plan projects for the department and university
  • Provides technical support to the course development team

 

Virtual Lab, AI & Automation

  • Works with Schools to build Virtual Lab for courses
  • Researches and builds AI & Automation capabilities
