Philanthropy, for me, isn’t about wealth—it’s about will. “We make a living by what we get.
We make a life by what we give."

I first joined SUSS in 2010 full of questions, and returned in 2024 with deeper ones. Across both journeys—as an undergrad and later a postgrad—SUSS gave me more than just academic tools; it shaped how I think, lead, and serve.

I chose SUSS because it offered accessible, applied learning that didn’t feel out of reach for a working adult.

Balancing studies, work, and life wasn’t always easy, but the community, flexibility, and belief in lifelong learning kept me going.

What stayed with me most were not just the grades or experiences, but the growthmoments when ideas clicked, confidence returned, and purpose sharpened.

Joining the Advancement Advisory Committee felt like coming full circle. I believe in giving back not out of obligation, but gratitudefor the people and spaces that made room for me to grow.

Philanthropy, for me, isn’t about wealth—it’s about will. “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” This quote guides me. Because education isn’t a solo climb. It is a relay. And I hope to pass the baton a little further, so that someone else can run their leg of the journey with strength.
