Dr Siva Gopal Thaiyalan's scholarship and research interest lies at the nexus of citizenship education, positive youth development and inclusive lifelong learning. He is a qualitative researcher with an interest in visual methodology, particularly using photovoice to explore lived experiences and imaginations. Dr Thaiyalan began his career as a physical education and mathematics teacher and later became a Senior Curriculum Specialist for Character and Citizenship Education at the Ministry of Education in Singapore.
