A trained engineer, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in 1999 and holds professional engineer certification. After graduation, she had the
opportunity for short-term advanced studies in
Singapore before returning to a decade-long career in the Chinese government sector.
Since 2011, Candy has dedicated herself to fostering connections between Liaoning Province and Singapore. For over a decade, she has specialized in educational and cultural exchange projects between the two countries. Her extensive work has earned her prominent roles as a Council Member of the Liaoning People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and a Council Member of the Shenyang Huanggu District Federation of Industry and Commerce.
A key figure in China-Singapore cooperation, she represented a Chinese enterprise at the 2019 Singapore-Liaoning Economic and Trade Council meeting during a signing ceremony. She has also organized numerous high-level visits for Singaporean enterprises and academic institutions to liaise with their counterparts in Liaoning, significantly advancing cross-border partnerships and development.
