Dr Timothy Singham is a registered psychologist in UK and Singapore, and is currently a senior clinical psychologist at Viriya Psychological Services – a community-based psychology service. He completed his doctoral clinical training at University College London on the NCSS Scholarship. Trained in CBT, systemic and psychodynamic approaches, Tim’s clinical experience includes primary mental health, special educational needs, community mental health, and more specialist services in dementia and diabetes. He is concurrently an adjunct senior lecturer at NUS, providing clinical and research supervision for psychologists in-training, and has taught undergraduate psychology modules at SUSS.   

With prior experience across education, health and social sectors, Tim has keen clinical and academic interests in topics such as relational trauma, youth resilience, ADHD, and dementia prevention. As a scientist-practitioner, he has published several academic publications in high impact factor journals such as JAMA Psychiatry, on topics such as peer victimisation, widowhood and dementia.  

Tim enjoys mentoring budding psychologists and advancing the local field of psychology through his role as Public Education Chair in the Singapore Psychological Society and has been involved with the Interagency Taskforce on Mental Health and Well-being, focusing on the nationwide implementation of the tiered care model across health and social sectors.
