James LIU is a technology innovator and strategic ecosystem builder with 15+ years of experience across AI, Fintech, Web3, and MedTech. He currently serves as Director of New Business & Innovation Alliance at Alibaba Cloud, where he drives cross-border partnerships with policy makers, startups, corporates, investors, and academia.

As Adjunct Faculty at the National University of Singapore (NUS) & Nanyang Technological University (NTU), James teaches and mentors on innovation, education, and entrepreneurship. He also serves as a mentor to Harvard Blockchain and ACE.SG, contributing to regional talent development and next-gen innovation ecosystems.

His global journey spans Philips, GlobalFoundries, and multiple high-growth ventures in the AI x Marketing domain. Having completed PhD-level research training at NUS and holding an Executive MBA from Quantic, alongside executive education from INSEAD, Alibaba Business School, and Harvard, James bridges scientific rigor with business insight to enable human-centered innovation systems.
