Jason's Unconventional Internship Journey

Jason's journey to receiving the Best Intern Award was far from conventional. "The challenges began even before I started my internship," he recalls. "The company I initially accepted an offer from had to freeze their hiring, leaving me scrambling to find a new placement just days before the internship was set to begin."

This unexpected setback could have derailed his plans, but Jason remained determined. "I was close to deferring my internship," he admits, "but then the opportunity to work at Rawfish Pte Ltd presented itself." While this path diverged from the traditional internship routes, Jason embraced the unique challenges that awaited him.

"True success lies not in the quantity of work, but in the quality and impact. "

"While this internship differed from the traditional corporate experiences of many of my peers," Jason explains, "I embraced the unique challenges it presented." He found himself in a smaller, more agile environment, where he had the opportunity to learn and grow in a different way. "I was fortunate to have a supportive supervisor who guided me throughout my internship," he shares.

Receiving the Best Intern Award came as a complete surprise. "Comparing my experience with friends who interned at larger companies, I often felt like I was behind," Jason reflects. "Receiving this award validated my journey and dispelled those self-doubts. It reminded me that success comes in many forms and that everyone's path is unique."

Jason's perspective on success extends beyond academic achievements. "My grades have never been exceptional," he admits. "But I've learned to embrace my own unique set of challenges and priorities." He emphasises that success is not solely defined by grades or academic accolades. "It's about giving your best effort, learning from your experiences, and navigating your own unique path," he explains.

Jason's story is a testament to the importance of resilience, adaptability, and embracing unexpected opportunities. It serves as an inspiration to fellow students, reminding them that their journey is unique and that success is defined by their own personal growth and achievements.
