Jeremy Loh is a seasoned investor with over 16 years of experience spanning venture equity and venture debt. He began his career investing in global technology companies, including nearly a decade in venture equity and a leadership role at EDBI Singapore. Recognizing the need for alternative financing in Southeast Asia, Jeremy joined DBS Bank to start a venture debt unit and subsequently co-founded Genesis Alternative Ventures in 2018 as the region’s pioneering venture debt fund. Under his leadership, Genesis has raised over US$200 million in commitments across two funds, providing lower-dilutive growth capital to venture-backed startups and establishing private debt as a viable asset class for institutional investors and family offices.
Beyond investing, Jeremy is passionate about supporting entrepreneurship. Previously, as an Adjunct Professor at Singapore Management University, he has taught entrepreneurship and actively connects students with industry leaders. Jeremy holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Southampton, completed postdoctoral training at Imperial College London and A*STAR Singapore, and earned a Master’s in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence from Nanyang Technological University. He is an inventor with six patents.
