Jodi's Triumph - Overcoming Challenges and Achieving Success on the Squash Court

Jodi, received a prestigious Colours Award, a testament to her dedication and hard work within the university's squash team.

"I was relatively new to the team," Jodi recalls. She was determined to improve, she consistently trained, both with the team and independently, and sought guidance from senior players and peers. Their advice and encouragement proved invaluable, helping Jodi refine her technique and build her confidence.

Balancing academic commitments with rigorous squash training presented its own set of challenges. "Juggling schoolwork, social life, and training required a significant amount of discipline and time management," she explains. However, she found that the dedication required for squash translated well into her academic pursuits.

For Jodi, the team's bronze medal won at the Singapore University Games (SUniG) holds a special significance. "It was a collective effort, and I am incredibly proud of what we achieved as a team," she shares.

 

Jodi believes that success is not solely defined by grand achievements. "Success is about continuous improvement," she reflects. "It's about pushing your limits, learning from your experiences, and striving to be better than you were yesterday."
